This Summer, I had a new summer crush. This is their story.

Glenn Beck was born February 10, 1964, in the Pacific Northwest state of Washington, and grew up in  the Seattle Area.

Beck made his radio debut at the age of 13 in Seattle, Washington, by winning a radio contest, and was later granted a part-time job as a DJ. He hosted Christian radio on Saturday, rock on Sunday and country on weeknights, but lost the job when he failed to complete a shift due to a migraine headache.

His Radio Influences as a child were Orson Welles and Johnny Carson.

Beck experienced success in radio during his 20s and his career grew rapidly. Despite this new financial security, however, he became an alcoholic and a drug addict, even describing himself as "a despicable human being." The addictions culminated in a period of intense unhappiness and the disintegration of his first marriage, which had produced two children. With the help of family and Alcoholics Anoymous, he met his current wife Tania, and later found religion by becoming a Mormon. Beck cites his 18-year-old daughter, Mary (named after Beck's mother), as one of the reasons he was able to pull together. Mary was born with cerebral palsy, which had led doctors to predict she would never walk or feed herself. She has since been able to do both. Glenn and Tania adopted a boy named Raphe and, in 2006, Tania gave birth to a little girl they named Cheyenne Grace Beck.

Most of the Info is from glennpedia.com, which is sort of an encyclopedia of all things beck...somehow, you don't want to ask me much, only because I am only a fan.

Beck is the author of The Real America: Messages from the Heart and Heartland (ISBN 0743486331). Beck is also the founder and editor of a magazine called Fusion, which is a play on The Glenn Beck Program's motto, "the Fusion of Entertainment and Enlightenment," and is a comedy publication.

The Glenn Beck Program began in 2000, as a radio program out of Tampa Florida, and quickly gained popularity in its afternoon slot. Beck enjoyed a quick rise from local radio to the national spotlight, spurred by the September 11, 2001 attacks.
In January 2002, syndicator Premiere Radio Networks launched the show on 47 stations. The show was then moved to "The Big Talker 1210" WPHT in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is currently available on 212 stations, as well as on XM Satellite Radio

The Glenn Beck Program can be heard live on weekdays from 9AM - Noon ET.

Glenn's Television show began airing on May 8, 2006. CNN promotes the show as an unconventional look at the news of the day featuring Beck's unique and often amusing perspective on top stories from world events and politics to pop culture and everyday hassles.

Like Beck's radio program, the show centers on current events and the opinions of Beck, all delivered in Beck's humorous, self-deprecating style.

Glenn Beck on Headline News airs at 7 p.m. ET daily, replays at 9 p.m. and midnight ET
